AHHH! I am SO excited for my upcoming "All About Me" sessions. These sessions let children bring their spunk and personality to the camera. I tailor each session specifically for each child's individual personality. In these sessions, children need to be prepared to dance, run around fields, throw glitter, blow bubbles, slay dragons, and laugh.... a lot. If you are interested about booking one of these unique sessions for your little princess/prince, please contact me!
The day of this session was beautiful!! A perfect open sky, a beautiful venue (The Barn at Faith Farms)www.facebook.com/The-Barn-at-Faith-Farms-1269024033109875/, and a beautiful little girl with a lot of imagination. That's a photographers dream.
I arrived at the venue early so I could hang clouds and stars in the trees... yes, you read that right. I told you that these sessions are unique!
Mally arrived and we began shooting. I made extremely silly faces to make her laugh, chased her around the field, helped her climb into the tree, and constantly fluffed her hair around the princess tiara.
Here are some of my favorite images from Mally's "All About Me" session. Contact me and we can begin creating something special for your child.
When I first "started" photography, I used free apps I could download onto my computer as editing software! Boy, was that a baaaaddddddd outcome. As I got more serious, I taught myself all about equipment, posing, lighting, and editing. Learning how to edit changed the value of my work. People all the time say things like, "You get paid to click a button." I once thought that was all there was to photography, too. Now that I have educated myself on what fits my style and produces the best quality, that outlook is farrrrrr gone. Photography is not just the click of a button. Photography is finding a style, and forming it into the vision you see in your head. It is working continuously to form new ideas to better your work. It is spending countless hours in front of the computer screen...that's right... editing. Here are some before and after photos of my edits.
Wow! Where do I even begin?? This time of the year always gets me thinking and reflecting on the past year that is shortly coming to an end. If I had to pick one word to describe 2016, I would choose "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious". (Yep, I am one of those Disney-obsessed people. Whoops.) This word definitely describes how 2016 has been. Yes, of course there have been trials. It is with good heart that we persevere and keep a big, cheesy smile on our face. "Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. James 1:12" However, there have also been many wonderful times in the past year that show just how blessed we really are. For the blessings in my life, I am forever thankful.
2016 was the first full year of me really diving head-first into the photography world. I researched until I could research no more! I figured out what I believe is the best equipment for me, and splurged on it. Canon girl all the way! I continuously strived to teach myself more and more about editing in order to ensure the highest quality photos I could produce for my clients. I quickly figured out the do's and dont's on posing, lighting, etc. Y'all, figuring out how to run a business was no cake walk for this girl! I learn new things I can do better each and every day, and I plan on continuing to try to better myself and my business.
As 2016 heads out the door, I have been thinking of the new opportunity that 2017 is bringing! I am going to be releasing new session options, offering products and prints, renovating my website, posting on my blog quite often, testing out new ways of shooting, and really diving into my editing. Thank you to everyone in my small hometown that has supported me through every step of this building process. You do not know how much you mean to me! I have prayed and prayed asking God to open the doors that I needed in order to pursue my dreams, and He definitely answered my prayers.
With all of that being said, my 2016 calendar is closed and my 2017 calendar is open! Contact me soon to schedule your session. Let's create some memories.
When Lakelee first contacted me about booking her wedding, I bubbled over with excitement. I had no doubt in my mind that she would be one of the most beautiful brides I had ever seen, and she was just that. Lakelee and Levi have such a sweet love story. He was a small-town football player and she was the gorgeous cheerleader. From High School Sweethearts to Newlyweds, their love for each other shines. Their wedding day was filled with emotion. It was an honor to photograph their big day. Here are a few images from the Holley wedding. Congratulations to you both!
